Trick to keep in mind+3 XP
An offset is a house number; the partition is the street. Number 7 exists on every street.
Each partition counts its own records starting from 0, independently of its neighbours. So a number on its own points to nothing in particular: you need the street (partition) and the topic as well. Two records that share an offset but live in different partitions have no relationship at all.
Read it once, then a question tests whether the trick stuck.
