Communication Skills

Listen better, write clearer, give useful feedback and speak up with confidence

Beginner4 lessonsabout 18 min of reading

This topic is for freshers, students preparing for interviews and early-career professionals who have been told to "communicate better" without anyone explaining what that means. It treats communication as four concrete skills you can practise: listening, writing, giving and receiving feedback, and speaking in front of others.

By the end you will be able to check that you understood a request before acting on it, write an email or Slack message that gets a reply on the first try, give feedback that someone can act on, and structure a short answer in a meeting or interview so people can follow it. Every lesson includes scripts and templates you can adapt today.

The lessons are ordered the way a conversation works. You start with listening, because everything else depends on understanding the other person. Then you move to writing, feedback and finally speaking, where the earlier skills (understand first, lead with the point, be specific) come together.
