Trick to keep in mind+3 XP

The container's own layer is a sticky note on the fridge. Valuables go in a named volume.

Everything written into a container's own writable layer is removed along with the container. A tmpfs mount is even more temporary, living in memory. A named volume is a Docker-managed storage area with its own life cycle, so a fresh container can mount the same one and find the data waiting.

Read it once, then a question tests whether the trick stuck.
