Work on the ProfileMatch product itself: the Next.js frontend, the Spring Boot backend that syncs jobs from company career pages, and the matching that tells job seekers which roles fit them and why.
What you will do
- Build and ship small features and fixes end to end, from a pull request to the live site
- Improve how resumes and job descriptions are read, for example adding skills to the matching dictionary and testing them on real postings
- Write tests for the code you touch and keep the build passing
- Find and fix bugs reported by users, and explain the fix in plain words
What we are looking for
- Comfortable in at least one of Java, JavaScript/TypeScript or Python
- Basic Git: branches, commits and pull requests
- Can explain a project you built, including one thing you would do differently
- Able to work independently online and communicate progress in writing
Nice to have
- React or Next.js
- Spring Boot
- SQL
- Experience reading other people's code
